Don't you just love it when you've put the baby to bed a few hours ago, and yet you can still smell the lovely aroma from the squash-flavored baby food on your hands? Even after washing them multiple times? Yeah ... priceless.
i don't know if this works for baby food... but it works for garlic and onions. wash your hands under running water while rubbing them with stainless steel. sounds hard to do, but they actually sell little soap-bar shaped stainless steel things at places like bed, bath and beyond. anyway, it sounds crazy, but it was one of my greatest cooking discoveries. :) though, nothing starts the day of better than the smell of garlic and onions in the shower... that's what i always say.

I've used lemon juice on my hands -- gets rid of onion smell and really wakes you up if you have little scratches or paper cuts!
Don't you just love being a mom?!!
